Jardine-HKU Scholars Mentoring Café

Mentoring provided by distinguished Jardine Foundation alumni and Jardines’ colleagues

Last week, the Jardine Foundation hosted a Mentoring Café for our Jardine Scholars from HKU. This meaningful event brought together our vibrant community, connecting current scholars with distinguished alumni from our Oxbridge scheme and dedicated Jardine colleagues.

Mentorship is truly the cornerstone of support and growth within our community. Through small-group pairings based on academic disciplines and mentor expertise, our scholars received personalised guidance, encouragement, and inspiration to give back—empowering them to become future mentors themselves and support the next generation of scholars and alumni.

The event concluded with an engaging AI workshop led by Glen Seto, Head of Technology Services at Jardine Matheson, who shared practical AI use cases, emerging trends, and valuable tools for the future.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Kelvin Inge, our first scholar from 1982, Jacky Fanjun Yang, Environment & Sustainability at Gammon, Michelle Sum, Senior Associate (Litigation & International Arbitration) at Clifford Chance, Glen Seto and Shirley Yip, Financial Controller at Jardine Matheson, for sharing their wisdom and experiences. We also extend our gratitude to Hongkong Land for providing the welcoming Social Hub space.
